acupuncture for brain enhancement
The nervous system is truly unique to every individual - much like a fingerprint. This program is designed to support individuals suffering from brain injuries and chronic disorders of the nervous system, through a unique and powerful brain-based approach. Some of the disorders we treat are concussion, TBI support, headache, light and sound sensitivity, neuropathy and nerve pain, tremor, paralysis, balance, focus and memory loss or mental fog.
What it looks like
Assessment
A physical neurological evaluation is combined with a cognitive assessment to understand how your unique brain and body are working together. Treatment plans are then developed to help support areas of weakness that were uncovered, promote neuroplasticity, and whole-system health.
Treatments
Treatments include neurologically specific acupuncture plans using the most modern neuroscience acupuncture research findings. Additional therapies may include specialized eye movement exercises, cognitive exercises, movement and sensory therapies, cupping, tuina (massage), and dietary therapy.
RE-EVALUATION
Routine physical and cognitive re-evaluations are performed on an ongoing basis to assess progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
Homework
Helping you understand what your brain and body need to succeed is at the center of our work. There is a strong emphasis on patient education which empowers patients to work with their nervous system in a powerful way. Patients are given tailored exercises as well as dietary, and lifestyle recommendations to empower them to work with their brain and heal their bodies.
